I've been on the wiki since around 2009.  I wasn't the greatest user back then (not that I am now), and took a long break to do some growing up.  While I was doing that, I graduated from NJIT with a BS in Computer Science, and returned to the wiki August 2016.

In early 2017, I was made a member of both the Technical and Forum Criticism teams.  In the mean time I developed Secretary_Helen, our pronoun bot, and backup general-purpose IRC bot.  I was voted Operational Staff during summer promotions of 2017.  

In November of 2017, LurkD stepped down as Technical Captain.  I was asked to fill in, and promised to work to the best of my abilities.

I tend to be very straightforward when dealing with issues.  I'm a good resource for general programming issues in real life, wiki syntax (as I wrote the advanced formatting guide), and I know a lot about the Foundation universe in general as well.

I teach historical swordsmanship, hold three blackbelts, and hate bad combat in fiction.  You can find me on IRC as DrMagnus, DrMagnus|Working, DrMagnustein around Halloween, or TheAbominableSnowMagnus around Christmas.
