Parza (account age 4 hours) has recently been sending me some PMs that are somewhat questionable. Of note, they were not a site member at the time of the first few PMs.
I'm looking to contribute with the creation of scps, but as english is not my first language i would like to just be a source of ideas.
So i need to be directed to someone who has proven to be capable of making succesful scps (and is capable and willing to work with someone with no experience) so i can direct my ideas there and maybe have them atleast affect to an scp.
I would love to be able to just create my own, but i lack the english skills and time to make them so good that i would not to be ashamed to post them for everyone to see, i am somewhat of a perfectionist.
I do not yet know what is required of me, but i can assure you that if i have 1 thing, its creativity.
(After I told them that they need to join the site first, and that we encourage people to write up their own ideas rather than asking someone else to do the work for them.)
I joined and it said that the process might take several days, but can i use the sandbox instead? Is it possible to lock the sandbox so anyone that isnt an admit or a moderator cant see it?
While im sure i could come up with more than one idea, i got an excellent one that i want to see completed and because i am a perfectionist and willing to admit that i dont have the skills to complete this on my own can we just use the sandbox as a "testing ground" and then have an author look at it?

By perfectionist i mean i want the SCP to be (somewhat) completed before being posted on the forums for critique and i definetly want it to have the general SCP feel to it with all object class, Special Containment Procedures, Descriptions etc, the problem is that i cant do it, if im honest i dont even know what euclid means while i want the language to be proper, which is just something i cant do.
I opened up a random scp (032) and within the first line of text i spot several words that i dont remember ever using in a conversation (which has been the only thing i use english for) and if we look at the whole page (4 paragraphs) i can spot several words that i dont know the meaning of.
(After I told them that their concept wasn't good)
It is so far pretty boring, i havent really gotten to the main part of it yet, i got carried away. Its not the entity, its the effect is has on humans, the main part that gave me the motivation to start isnt there yet, the entity is just something i had to came up with to have the effect come from somewhere, it could be changed to an object and the days it takes to see the full effects can be reduced to much shorter times or even to be instant.
i can learn, i do use a dictionary, but official sounding language that these scp descriptions have just isnt something that comes fluently from me. words like associated, anomalous or topologically arent something i use often and even if i can translate them, i dont know how to use them in a sentence. For me to make it sound official i would have to basically double my vocabulary and then start throwing these words here and there on purpose. Its not me.
It didnt really turn out the way i want it, which is why i wanted a real author to alter it, but the basic idea is a person becoming omniscient and then be able to do anything that is possible, the possibilities with that are literally endless.
the subject could even itself become the scp and be a story of how they cannot do tests on it as it always knows what they are going to do and how to counter it and it would take them years before they discover another scp that can stop time or something and with that they could do tests on the all knowing scp.
It could also be a story about the greed of SCP Foundation and how they want to test everything in hopes of profit but with an all knowing test subject it backfires everytime and the harder they try the harder they fail.
I do have ideas, but im not a good enough story teller (alteast not in english) to realise the true potential of my ideas.
Is what im saying making any sense?
For the last PM, I sent back:
the basic idea is a person becoming omniscient and then be able to do anything that is possible, the possibilities with that are literally endless.
We already have an 001 proposal about this.
the subject could even itself become the scp and be a story of how they cannot do tests on it as it always knows what they are going to do and how to counter it and it would take them years before they discover another scp that can stop time or something and with that they could do tests on the all knowing scp.
This just comes off as overpowered and cliche, which tends to result in deletion. If the majority of the story is just "the Foundation doesn't know what to do, and using another powerful SCP to counter the thing is the only thing that works", it seems reminiscent of the over-the-top video game characters that teenage writers try to get published on the site.
It could also be a story about the greed of SCP Foundation and how they want to test everything in hopes of profit but with an all knowing test subject it backfires everytime and the harder they try the harder they fail.
This just makes the Foundation look dumb, which is another thing that leads to pretty much immediate downvotes.

It does make sense, and I'm saying we've seen these things before, many times, from many other writers. The site has been around for over ten years and thousands of SCP entries have been posted, most of which were deleted because out of all the pages posted in a day, at least half are downvoted and eventually deleted.
I have processed your application and you are now free to use the site forums. Please start with your ideas here: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/c-89000/
However, keep in mind what I have told you. In all honesty, I think you may have an incorrect view of how good your ideas are, and assuming that experienced writers will want to write up these ideas for you may be expecting too much.
Keep an eye on.
ETA: and another PM, indicating that they don't want to interact with the community but still want to contribute (they also misunderstood my critique, which while unsurprising, doesn't really bode well):
It does come out as overpowered, which is why i didnt go with it, its just 1 of the possibilities i could think of.
and omniscient anything would make anything look dumb, thats kind of the point of it, but it could be that they just try a couple times before they conclude that they cannot test it and give up.
what i think of my ideas is just my opinion and what you think of them are is your opinion, what the community thinks is what matters, like you pointed out in the other message.
However, if you didnt notice i am on purpose trying to avoid communicating with the community because i know that i alone as a newbie am not good enough, which is why im asking for help. Im not trying to become the best writer ever, im not trying to be a professional and im not trying to get someone to do the work for me, i want to contribute in my OWN way and is there any other way?
So what can i do?
