Now, recently, I've been doing some thinking about how we handle staff posts. Currently, there is a blanket ban on anybody responding to any kind of staff post. But why is that? The only time when a staff post would really need to have no responses to it would be if it was a deletion vote, because there's no reason for people to respond to a deletion vote, or for a staff post stopping a discussion thread, because, well, it's an end to that discussion. For other things, like, say, review posts, why do we not let people respond? Right now, we have a thing we do where we say in the post "this is an open staff post." I think it'd be better if that were the default for a staff post, and we need to specify in the title by writing Closed Staff Post as opposed to Staff Post.
Any thoughts on this idea, or do we want to keep things as they've always been?
