So, today, user Mulciber sent me a PM stating that he was the original author of SCP-033, and that he wished to remove the addenda which had been added to the article in the early days. The article was moved by Masipag from EditThis, but I'm inclined to believe Mulcibers request, given how old his wikidot account is and his lack of motivation for lying. The last addenda in SCP-033 is kinda pointless, and I can see why he'd want to remove it. Noaqiyeum doesn't appear to have gotten permission to do his edit anyways, and as such I'm inclined to remove the addenda.
Thoughts on this? I post it here because we've had issues with EditThis authorship before, and I figure it's something everyone should be able to weigh in on.
Content of his PM, for reference:
Hello there.
Sorry to trouble you, but I had an etiquette/editing question, and I'm not particularly fond of crowdsourcing these types of inquiries. You seem to be the resident voice of moderation and reason, so I thought I would clutter your inbox.
I wrote SCP-033 (The Missing Number) long ago, and have been pleased to see that it continues to serve its purpose—inciting lovers of mathematics to foam at the mouth in a years-long debate. :)
Anyway, also somewhat long ago, another author slapped an addendum into my article. I dislike the addendum and always have, but was unsure at the time of its addition whether I was at liberty to remove or alter it.
As we seem to have entered an era more respectful of original author's rights to editing, I was curious if I would be permitted to remove the offending addendum now, or if that would be a breach of good form.
Thank you for your patience and assistance.
Whether you like it or not, history is on our side. We will bury you!
