Hey All,
I'd like to lock the first Tag Suggestion thread, and propose a new one.
Mostly, it's because I can't find any old proposals, and it's driving me nuts.
In the new thread, I'd like to propose the following procedure:
- User Makes a suggestion post containing the proposed tag, articles as "proof" and the justification/description of the tag
- Technical Team Member approves/dissaproves tag, with explanation if denied
- Technical Team Member does the usual tagging, updating the guide/list as necessary.
- Technical Member edits the original post (all approvers are mod or higher) collapsing the entire post. The heading should be "Tag Name == [APPROVED/DENIED]" Please quote your justification for denial as the first line of the collapsible. If there are other posts on the suggestion, I'd suggest collapsing them, but not necessary.
Some additional changes:
- Proposals for new tags must be in a new post. No more suggesting tags in response to a top level post. That's just aggravating, and gets lost. EDIT: You can propose more than one tag, per top level post. Please separate them with a ------ line divider
- Post title should be Tag Request — tag-name for new proposed tags
That's…a lot, why are we doing this?
I can't keep track of older proposals, because I have no idea where they are. There's been three cases lately where I can't find the original proposal after someone else has brought it up.
Why do we need a new thread for this?
One, because the old one is muddy, and two, because if you don't start over, most people ignore things like format changes.
Please respond with any objections to taking this action, below.
Thanks! <3
