As stated on the Canon Hub page, the requirements for a canon to be recognized as such are as follows:
- A minimum of five tales written.
- A minimum of three authors writing the tales.
- Your canon cannot be "closed" to other, new contributors.
- Your canon cannot be "finished."
Lately, however, we've been seeing a lot of SCPs and GOI Formats being incorporated into canons alongside tales. Furthermore, there's a general if informal feeling among the userbase and site that any five articles should qualify, not just five tales. Thoughts on relaxing the restriction on article types, so that "A minimum of five tales written." becomes "A minimum of five tales/SCPs/GoI Formats written."?
I personally have no strong feelings towards the rule one way or the other, but I'm leaning towards relaxing the restriction and would vote YES if such a vote took place.
All inputs are welcome, including those of Junior Staff.
If there are no strongly dissenting opinions within a week, I will put up a vote.
