Piecewise is a new user who's gone on a string of terrible writing balanced out by passive aggressive nitpicky rants in the discussion threads of various pages. If a user replies to or counters his rant in any way, he posts another more acerbic rant. His attitude and posts indicate that he considers himself better than the rest of the community, and he has repeatedly expressed scorn for and insulted the userbase at large. I've had to edit one of his posts to remove a direct insult to the readers.
I've noticed that his rants so far seem to appear only in the discussion pages of members of staff who have expressed dislike for or voted to delete his work. I say seem because it just occurred to me and I don't want to go back and check; if someone can confirm or deny this, it would be great.
So yeah. My opinion is that piecewise is a troll who is deliberately targeting the discussion pages of staff members to set up straw man arguments and cause strife.
Whether that's actually the case or not, his attitude needs dealing with. I recommend a tempban to encourage him to fit in.
