I will point out that adding making the image and adding it to the map are entirely optional, Site-5 is actually using the default image since I'm not making a site logo for something that doesn't exist, and I think it looks fine.
It's not like many people were actually interested in adding to the old version of the page other than me - setting aside newbies who didn't read the rules, I think the only people who added to it recently were Harry Blank, Ralliston, and Cremo, although that's mostly because the page had a 3 author author requirement and so not much was allowed to be added.
I would hope that the form serves the function - e.g. the addition of a map and the new layout should make it easier to find the site you're looking for. I suppose we could just list Sites like the MTF and GOI page instead of putting everything in collapsibles, but I personally find the old layout really hard to navigate because there's just so many of them now. This specific aspect of the format is something I'm undecided on though, but if the MTF page can have art I don't see why the Sites page can't.
Not going to lie: if people did decide that we should keep the old page as the "Official" one, I would definitely post the map anyway as an art page and ask if it could be included on the official page - the CSS is a little complicated and setting icon position takes some trial and error, but unlike a static image that means it can actually be added to without having to reupload an image file.
I am not actually that worried about the character limit since I doubt that we'll be doubling the number of sites any time soon, although I have noticed that when you have a very long page there can be lag while editing - it doesn't seem to cause problems while viewing the page though.
