This thread is in regards to Uncle Nicolini’s conduct and behaviour as a staff member, and is a thread to discuss their demotion due to said conduct.
Some context-
In 2019, UncleNicolini/nk was subject to an AHT investigation. The behaviour in question had occurred outside the wiki itself, and occurred before the relatively recent restructuring of AHT investigations. Nonetheless, the investigation found nothing that went against our harassment policy. Then-present AHT staff including myself as the conditions of the complaint were severely poor interpersonal skills, rather than anything that could be described as harassment through our policies then, or now.
Nicolini was spoken to, and permitted to remain on staff on the condition of improving interpersonal behaviour. This was an acceptable outcome to then-present AHT staff including myself.
Over the past year and a half, Nicolini has gradually grown towards an increasingly toxic set of behaviours, to the point of multiple staff members raising concerns. Recently a particular interaction with a non-staff user prompted a revival of discussion of Nicolini’s behaviour, and we (Disc) have come to the conclusion that behaviour has not improved.
As such, moderators and higher will now vote on whether Uncle Nicolini will remain part of -EN wiki staff.
This is not a call for any sort of ban, censure, or removal from the community. Only demotion from staff, exclusively due to a failure to abide by the conditions stipulated in the resolution of the previous incident.
This discussion is open for Moderators and above, including Nicolini.
This is a collaborative statement between the Disciplinary team and Anti-Harassment, and constructed by members of AHT at the request of Disc. It follows the policy as set forth in our Site Charter to the best of our ability. As per the charter, UncleNicolini will have no authority on the wiki for the duration of this discussion, but will be permitted to post in their own defense here.
