Why was this rule put in place?

When you create a forum post, your username is always at the top. As a result, signatures are completely unnecessary and act as bloat for your post.

Noting that they recently edited this page: http://scp-wiki.wikidot.com/scp-4238 with the edit comment "Spelling and grammar fixes (grammarly)". While there were some legitimate fixes in the edits, there were also several changes made that were stylistic and unnecessary.

Page was reverted, staffpost left in discussion thread.

Why did you revert the edits I made? So I know what I did wrong.
