In an effort to be more concise in our recordskeeping, I'm moving this here.

This user has repeatedly attempted to ban evade in both the chat and on the site. User was initially banned as GrotesqueBaguette (Account deleted), then returned as John Dinner (account deleted) then again as Ronnie English. As documented in this thread: http://05command.wikidot.com/forum/t-13437858/generic-17-ban-thread#post-4807603 user MrRatburn is exhibiting behavior similar enough that it could potentially be from the same person.

In the chat, they utilized a plethora of usernames in an attempt to evade their ban. They also repeatedly claimed not to be the same person, despite showcasing identical behavior and sentence structures.

Ronnie English was banned on January 4th, MrRatburn created their account on January 7.

Additionally, MrRatburn has showcased the same pattern of behavior of contentless posting to the forums, requesting information easily obtained in guides, and coldposting contentless or near-contentless things to the site (First was a blank entry in the 5129 slot, then nothing more than an un-sourced image in 5136)

Do we think this pattern of behavior sufficient to consider MrRatburn to be the same person as Ronnie English and GrotesqueBaguette?

Yeah, this seems like the same person, especially since they continue to post threads and ask for feedback on the mainsite instead of actually reading the guide they keep being directed to look at. They just blanked the coldpost page with "This item has been deleted by its author."

For now, revoke enacted, PM sent. We'll see how they respond.

ETA: received a reply, which seems to confirm that they're the same person as they can't access chat.

I understand. But with all due respect, I believe that the revocation was falsy justified.
The IRC Chatrooms do not operate correctly for me, so I am unable to take advantage of them.

Lastly, I believe that I am supposed to receive a warning before account withdrawal.

Sent a reply asking them if they were having difficulty figuring out how to use chat, and noting that staff may enact an immediate revoke or ban if it is clear that the user in question does not respond to staff direction. (For their case, they were repeatedly directed to the How to Write an SCP Guide, but consistently exhibited behavior indicating they had not read it.)

And I have read the guides numerous times, thank you.

Confirms it's the same user again. I explained that ban evasion is a permabannable offense and that nearly all of the questions they asked were already answered by the guides they claim to have read.

Permaban enacted on mainsite.

I believe there have been only two instances of you referring me to the guides

The main cause for me to ask these questions (especially the pictures) is that the guide can be vague at times. If you have a question about it and they don't answer it, then you're toast. I ask because I need somebody who actually knows what the guide is talking about to help me with it.

And secondly, I don't know why the IRC chatrooms would kick me out for ban evasion, as you would call it. I have not been warned prior to my membership revocation. Are you sure it isn't glitched?

Further indication that they haven't actually read the guide (the How to Write an SCP page has a step-by-step list of how to add an image).

I told them their ban was permanent and noted the usual appeals process.
