As of a month or so ago, we officially own scpwiki.com. As someone that's worked in the domain industry, this is basically as good as it gets for our purposes. No dashes, and on a .com instead of a .net. Wikidot allows us to set up 3 domains to redirect to a primary domain, a feature I've already tested and found working the way we need it to. This domain also has an increased bus factor; multiple people will be able to go in and adjust billing information and make record adjustments as needed, should I be unavailable.
Thus, I want to propose that as of August 1st, we set up scpwiki.com as the primary domain and scp-wiki.net as a redirect domain. From a practical perspective, there will be no immediate change to functionality. Any existing links to scp-wiki.net will continue to work for the foreseeable future, and we can begin the work on our side of changing the domain in as many places as we control. To reiterate, this has been tested working already on my own wikidot account with two custom domains.
I intend to have voting open to administrators only as this is the epitome of an administrative decision, but this discussion thread is open to all operational staff and up, junior staff with permission from their captain, and end-users that wish to send me private messages regarding it.
