User asked an extremely insensitive question in #site19, then proceeded to violate the op order to stop the inevitable outraged conversation that immediately followed. Log follows:
The initial discussion was to do a 24h for violating the op stop order. In the ensuing discussion, it was decided to raise it to a week for the troll-like question + violation of a stop order necessitating immediate escalation up the standard chain.
During this conversation, the user proceeded to PM me, the content follows:
00:08<AgentBarrstow> A Quick question; does OP Order to Stop mean a ban? I'm not here to argue it or anything, and apologize for any behavior that was deemed innapropriate.
00:08 <MalyceGraves> The conversation was ordered to stop by an operator and you violated that op order to stop that conversation
00:08 <AgentBarrstow> Understood- was attempting to apolgize for my poor wording. May I rejoin site-19?
00:09 <MalyceGraves> No. You are about to be banned. You may appeal that ban in #site17 if you wish
User then appealed, which ProcyonLotor took. Log follows:
In ex post facto discussion, it was decided that the specific language used was incendiary at best and was likely due to the individual in question being a troll or agitator. The consensus of several Ops and two Chatmin was that this should be raised to a perma and the user be allowed an additional appeal, should they wish it.
