Well, I've mentioned here and there for the past week or two, but as of today, I am officially stepping down from all of my positions on the teams I am part of, and retiring from staff as a whole. I have made DrBleep my successor for MAST co-captainship.
This has been a long time coming for me, and I think the knells of this began in the June 18 drama. I never really recovered from trying to manage that, and since then, my activity and presence on the sight has dropped precipitously.
However, what finally sealed the deal was getting the MAST team up and running. I realized once the vote for that passed that I didn't have the drive to stay staff any longer.
When I became staff, one of my biggest goals was to make a lasting impression on the site, and I think my work on the few guides I've rewritten and the formation of an entirely new and very important staff team make that mark.
I've been through a lot with all of you, and I can say for a fact that this site and the friends I've made have completely changed my life for the better, and saved it multiple times.
I've been with this site for eight years now, three as staff. I have loved every minute of my time spent here, but my time here is done. I'm so incredibly honored to have been allowed to serve the community as a staff member and to have gotten to know so many of you.
