This is the voting thread for the addition of a criteria for page deletion by staff due to low rating, as discussed in this thread from March.
At a page rating -20 or lower the deletion would proceed just as it does for articles at -10 or lower, but at -20 the regular 24 hour deletion timer would not be required to have elapsed, allowing for very low rated pages with no chance of reaching a positive score to be deleted early.
Please see the linked thread for the reason and benefits of such a change. I feel it's time to bring this to a vote as the earlier discussions have already addressed some of the rough edges of the original suggestion.
A desire for increased logging was expressed during the course of discussion, so this vote is not for carrying out summary deletions at -20 with a single staff witness, as the original post in that thread suggested. Rather, aside from the suspension of the deletion timer, this would still entail the full regular staff deletion process - requiring three staff votes for deletion and requiring the staff who carries out the deletion to PM a backup of the page source to the author(ETA: this is not a requirement) and log the article's feedback to a deletions thread.
This change would allow deletions batches to be broken up into smaller chunks, carried out more often. As the current section leader of Deletions under MAST I would ensure that this change actually gets taken advantage of.
Please vote yes or no to the following question: Do you support the addition of an article deletion threshold at -20, as suggested in the linked discussion from March, with the clarifications outlined in this vote announcement?
