Unacceptable fucking behavior. I would suggest it be extended to a month at the least because you do not come in here and take that fucking attitude with our users, or our chatstaff. There is no reason that this user should be allowed to return and abuse our users and staff again- which, as shown from the extensive logs provided, is basically the only thing he has any interest in doing.

We had to ban him from 17 for repeating his dickery there in two separate sessions! There is no redeeming value this user can bring to 19, and allowing him the opportunity to piss all over everything again goes to the point of active disrespect of our users.

I wasn't here for any of these interactions, but I am left similarly baffled. This type of entitlement is not the sort of thing that somebody works out in a month. I'll agree with procy that this should've been kicked up to a perma.

Upon review this ban has been extended to perma. Noting that this includes the #site17 ban.

Do we wish to decrease the #17 ban to a year to allow for an appeal?

It is my opinion (given the data available) that the user in question is unlikely to appeal in a year, if at all.

Whilst they definately seem immature, they don't seem 7: banning on this alone seems little but spiteful to me; we should try find out if it's accurate first.

They already had a permanent ban; this serves no reason other than to delay an (unlikely, and even less likely to pass) appeal.

Also, as we're seemingly not banning them from the site till 2030, it pretty much just says "sure, we know you're not 7, but fuck you" which is not the image we want.

Yeah it's pretty dumb to ban them because of an age listed in their profile that clearly isn't their real age. Their ban is already permanent, this seems totally unnecessary.

Given the number of people in dispute, the unlikelihood of this user actually being that age, the unlikelihood of this user returning, and the fact that I wasn't suggesting to ban them (and failed to make that clear, mea culpa), I will be reverting this to a permaban tomorrow unless other chat admins feel very strongly about this.

I will say that we should probably decide whether we're taking people's wikidot profile ages as their actual age moving forward and that if we are, we should make it clear somewhere visible on the site; I don't recall many cases where we've taken it as their actual age straight out but I do recall us considering it grounds for asking them how old they are. I may, of course, be wrong about this. That is, of course, a separate discussion.

This is the behavior of an adult who considered their words and decided themselves morally and logically above our policies and procedures. They have not shown the slightest bit of remorse or intent to reform. While I understand all of this happened "fast", the glimpse into their mind they showed us was not good.

When people reveal to you who they are, believe them. I think the minimum here should be a perma-ban with a one-year appeal. I agree with Lily that it comes off as spiteful to ban them for ten years for the profile age.

It's been a day, with a little support and no objections (beyond the support for changing it initially); reverted to perma.
