Voting Thread - Change to our Age Policy
We recently had a discussion regarding raising the age limit. We are now going to vote on it.
In order to bring our content policy in line with our age policy the following changes will be made:
- All members are expected to be at least 16 by May 10th, 2021, at least 17 by May 10th, 2022, at least 18 by May 10th, 2023. After May 10th, 2023, all applicants must be 18 in order for their application to be accepted.
- Content with adult works are to be issued a splash page(or collapsible) that you agree that by seeing it that the reader or person interacting is above 18
- Any users under 18, staff or not, are not responsible for adult content in any way and are discouraged from having any sort of interaction with such content, which will be clearly labeled as such
There is an open question about anonymous reporting, and amnesty. This question must be addressed by May 10th 2021. In the event that no policy is put in place, the suggestion of creating an anonymous "tip off" member of staff will be enacted as a stopgap until a suggestion is made. It will be up to this persons discretion whether or not to reveal the age of the complaining user.
