Over the past few days, there have been discussions regarding our age policy, highlighting a clear gap between what our content policy allows, and our age policy.
In order to bring our content policy in line with our age policy I'm suggesting the following changes be made:
- All members are expected to be at least 16 by May 8th, 2021, at least 17 by May 8th, 2022, at least 18 by May 8th, 2023, and have reached the age of majority within the nations of which they live
- Content with adult works are to be issued a splash page(or collapsible) that you agree that by seeing it that the reader or person interacting is above 18
- Any users under 18, staff or not, are not responsible for adult content in any way and are discouraged from having any sort of interaction with such content, which will be clearly labeled as such
What this means, practically, is if you are a site member, or staff member, you're fine. Next year, you will need to be 16, the year after 17, the year after 18.
Additionally, we will cover current explicit content with a collapsible or other splash page or image to denote that this article contains adult content, and by revealing it, you are of the legal age of majority where you live.
This discussion will be open for forty eight hours due to the expedience of this, followed by a 24 hour voting period.
