We have reviewed our anti-harassment policy and decided that it is not sufficient to protect our users. As such, we have decided to make several changes in order to correct that.
To that end, going forward we are going to be much more thorough about soliciting information about cases of suspected harassment. We will always try to accommodate the wishes of alleged victims as much as possible, but will also ensure all parties are interviewed and all possible evidence collected whenever a rumor of wrongdoing reaches us.
Additionally, any suspicion of a member of staff will lead to the creation of file on the Anti-Harassment board for record-keeping, regardless of its apparent validity. This will allow Anti-Harassment to track patterns of behavior that would warrant deeper investigation.
Finally, any report on a member of staff will be brought up to the admin team. While we will endeavor not to share sensitive information, the admin team must be made aware that the accusation has been made and whether or not it has been found to have merit.
If you have any questions, feel free to bring them to me. As head of the Anti-Harassment team, I will do my best to answer them.
