Pretty solid idea, try to make people curious on what it is, and make what it is surprising to catch the audience off guard and supprised
I think this will be a good scp

The second one seems to have been lifted from DrSevere's review here: http://www.scp-wiki.net/forum/t-12199470/scp-idea#post-4302027Unique idea, but it needs a hook, and an emotion that the reader feels, is it sadness, curiosity, fear, etc. And make a story out of it. Without that it will be just a wierd thing and that's not enough to carry an scp on its own
What you need now is a hook. Ask yourself what emotion this article is trying to evoke in the audience - is it fear? Curiosity? Dread? Discomfort? Pick an emotion, and then apply the twist, something unexpected that evokes that in the audience. Without a hook, it's just a Weird Thing, and Weird Things aren't enough to carry an SCP on their own. |
which is the same thread the first example is from.
I staffposted and sent a PM asking them to be more conscientious. It looks like they're attempting to be helpful by just copying what they see other reviewers say, not being aware of context or how to help the author beyond just dropping a sentence they borrowed from someone else.
