Hi! I'm really fucking stressed over a million little things, and have decided that taking two weeks off from staff duties may alleviate some of that. If I forget and incidentally do a staff thing, great! More work done. But right now I need to like, rewire myself to not fall apart. Sorry for the inconvenience and see you again soon!
stay strong, friend, and take time for yourself! We love you.
Technically the sabbatical a) ended a while ago and b) was routinely violated by yours truly, but gonna make this next announcement.
From around midnight CST 7/27 to 7/30, my girlfriend will be over to visit, and my activity will more than likely drop a bit. I will more than likely miss anything sent to me over IRC.
Hi kids.
As staffchat is painfully aware, my computer is breaking down and will need to be replaced really, really, really soon. Expect my activity to drop severely until it's fixed.
As anyone whose been in chat with me is painfully aware, my internet sucks shit and decided to blow itself up. Expect less of me on IRC
Your Internet really wants to troll you… sad.

Late but literally the next day my internet stopped shitting itself, so thank you to my ISP.
Hi, how are you.
I am going to be taking a sabbatical from staff work for an indefinite amount of time, hopefully enough to get my head out of the howitzer. I'll still be around the site and satellites if anyone needs to poke me with a stick, and I'll probably vote if a promotion cycle comes up.
Take care of the kids for me.
Take care of yourself, Ura', and good sabbatical! <3
UPDATE: I broke the sabbatical about a week or so ago to maintain the tumblr. Regardless, my activity is probably gonna be lower for the sake of mindfulness.
Mental health collision. Lower activity. Apologies.
I've been hesitant on making this post, primarily due to the fact that when I've made these posts in the past, it's been followed by a sudden rebound in my capacity for staffwork; as well, I have two projects (the Intros overhaul voting thread and my Wikiwalk obligations1) that I really do feel I'm obligated to finish. However, I feel the need to note that for a while now, I've effectively already taken a sabbatical: I've found that in the past few, I've done a lot less work for the site, both as an author and as a member of staff.
At the same time, the 6k posting period is coming up at a time when the Town Halls are fresh; I do not wish to burden both staff and users with less-than-urgent issues.
As such, I'm officially taking a sabbatical until the end of the 6k voting period. This is both so to avoid spreading myself thin as well as to ensure that the aforementioned projects get a sustainable amount of attention once posted. I recommend WhiteGuard or UncertaintyCrossing act as (Sub?)Captain of Introductions for my sabbatical, though I ultimately leave that decision to the Community Outreach captains.
Have a good sabbatical, Ura'! We will take care of what is needed! ^^
Take it easy, UE. We'll hold the fort.
~ double post, Wikidot … ~
Good luck and stay safe, UE!

Work situation changed for the better, but that also means I'll have less time to check stuff here.
I'm out of staffchat and non-GSQ/UaU staff business until September. My girlfriend noticed I've been especially stressed of late regarding staffwork and I'm inclined to agree on such things.
