Team Overview

Responsibilities: This team is responsible for enacting a crosslinking project to restore the WikiWalk to the SCP Wiki. Responsibilities of the team include:

• Identifying volunteered articles and suggesting links and edits which add to the article and link to other content on the wiki.
• Updating and creating additional background pages to reflect content additions that occur as part of the project and that have occurred naturally since those pages were made.
• Assisting the technical team in implementing and monitoring character tags.
• Authors have final say over any edits made to their pages.

Team Structure

Our ideal membership would be between twenty people, working. Each pair of people will review ten articles per week, from a list of articles which will be divided up by tens. Each block of articles will be noted in a thread in our 05 forum section, seen here, along with who is working on it. Each pair would aim to look over and suggest edits for ten articles per week. Not every article will need major additions, and some may even suffice with only in-line links. Authors have veto power on any edits made to their articles.

After several users made comments regarding the lack of visibility of our posts, we have devised a new system that will allow for more users to voice their opinions on the edits we are proposing as well as increasing the visibility of ours posts. The process would be as follows:

• When a member of the WikiWalk Team wants to propose an edit, they are to post in that article's discussion page with a 7 day timer attached to the post. Increasing the duration of the discussion period will allow for more users to voice their opinions on the edits and offer other suggestions.
• When a suggested edit is made in an article's discussion page, that article will receive the temporary "crosslink" tag. This tag would allow for users to quickly locate the articles we are proposing edits to instead of going through the Recent Posts, not knowing if any suggestions were made that day. This tag would be removed whenever edits are implemented.
• When a suggested edit is made in an article's discussion page, the author of that article would receive a PM notifying them of the proposed edit, the ongoing discussion, and allowing them to make other suggestions or outright deny the proposed change. Since the author's opinion caries the most weight in this circumstance, maintaining communication with them will allow for this process to go much smoother. Should the author not reply to the message or post in the discussion page, the process will continue normally and after seven days, if there are no serious objections, the changes will be implemented. The author still reserves the right to revert this change at any time.
• After the edit has been made to an article, the author of that article will receive another PM notifying them of this change and informing them that they are free to revert the edit at any point in time should they decide to do so.

Background pages, such as facilities and MTFs, may be updated with additional information, especially considering the content created by the MTF contest. None of that was added to the MTF hub page. We would add them, and expand on some existing entries. The same would go for the facilities page. Some larger and more widely used facilities may get their own larger hub pages, from which additional links and such could be made. A personnel roster-style character hub could be something we might work on. SCPs known to link with tales may get direct links, if the author wishes to implement them.

In addition, character tags are being implemented by users, and members of the WikiWalk team should monitor the implementation of these tags to ensure some consistency in the early tagging, and alert authors in their crosslink suggestions that they may be able to implement some crosslinking tags.
